Church Hall

Facilities available for hire.

Large Hall

(20m X 9m) with stage and sprung floor. Piano. (see photo above.)

 

Small Hall

(8m X 6m) with partition to divide it into two rooms. Piano.
(includes use of kitchenette for tea making etc.)

 Kitchen for food preparation with crockery, glasses and cutlery. Supporting facilities and equipment:
Male & female toilets, public telephone, tables & chairs etc. Carpark for 24 cars plus parking in the street. [NB the Church has priority usage on this space]

How to book the facilities
Fees for booking the Church Hall are fixed until December 31st 2007.
Please note that the Office is NOT available for hire or use.

The whole of the Church Hall is a NON - SMOKING building

Events/Functions must not clash with Church Services.
The Church Hall is NOT available for hire at Major Christian Festivals.

If you are a registered charity, upon supplying your charity number
certain discounts may be available. This MUST be stated at time of
booking because no adjustments/refunds can be made at a later date.

 

HALL BOOKING CONDITIONS

PLEASE  NOTE  THAT  THESE  CONDITIONS  ARE  UNDER  REVIEW!

1. The person signing the Application Form shall be deemed to be the Hirer and is responsible for ensuring the observance of the following Conditions of Letting.

2. The hall is a non-smoking building and smoking is strictly prohibited anywhere on the premises. The hirer is responsible for enforcement of this condition. Smoking is only permitted in the car park area.

3. A deposit of £60 is required to confirm your booking. This deposit will be refunded after the date of the function providing the hall and its fixtures and fittings are left in a clean and satisfactory condition. All chairs and tables are to be cleaned and replaced in stacks and returned to their respective cupboards. Should, after inspection, the hall is found to be in an unclean condition or damage has arisen, the hirer will be liable to forfeit in part or whole the refundable deposit. A further claim may arise if the cost of damage exceeds deposit. Should the reservation be cancelled within 7 days of date of function, the deposit is forfeited.

4. The Parochial Church Council and Hall Committee will not be liable for any expenses or loss of revenue incurred by the hirer resulting from planned or unplanned closure of the hall.

5. The hirer should ensure that only that part of the premises hired shall be used and that the booking times include setting up and clearing away time. Booking times must be strictly adhered to. No function may continue beyond 11 pm on Saturdays and the hall must be vacated by 11.30 pm. When vacating the premises, please ensure that all lights are turned off and all doors are locked.

6. All regular hirers must have a current Public Liability Insurance Po[icy and attach two copies when returning the agreement form to the Booking Secretary. The Parochial Church Council or the Hall Committee cannot accept any responsibility whatever or liability in respect of any damage to or loss of any property or articles whatsoever placed or left upon the premises, car park or in the grounds.

7. Use of a kitchen, small tables, trestle tables, chairs, piano and cups and saucers are included in the hire charge. Cookers are also included in the hire charge for the main hall. Tea towels are not provided.

8. All parties for persons under the age of 19 must be supervised by a responsible adult.

9. Please see that all rubbish is removed from the premises and placed in the refuse container in the car park. Rubbish bags are available in the broom cupboard.

10. The hirer should ensure the avoidance of all unnecessary noise or disturbance likely to cause annoyance to occupants of surrounding properties during the period of hire and on departure, and to see that all amplifiers are turned off at 11.00 pm in accordance with Surrey County Council requirements.

11. Any articles belonging to, or in the custody of, the Committee lost or missing from the hall or any of the rooms during or in connection with any letting must be paid for by the hirer. The hirer shall also pay the cost of making good any damage to the building and the contents, including crockery, occasioned or arising as a consequence of the hire of the hall or room by the hirer.

12. In no circumstances must anything such as nails, drawing pins, sticky paper, tape, posters etc be attached to the walls, floors or ceilings. Boards are provided around the hall for such purposes.

13. No alterations or additions to the electrical or gas installations for the purpose of demonstrations, stage lighting etc may be made and no stage or scenery, curtaining, etc may be erected without the consent of the Committee in writing.

14. It is not the cleaners' normal duties to wash and replace crockery or to do other than sweep the floor after use by a third party. Should the hirer require the services of a cleaner, over and above their normal duties, arrangements must be made in advance with the Booking Secretary.

15. Intoxicating liquor may be consumed on the premises, but not sold on the premises unless a licence has been obtained.

16. In the interests of safety it is expected that hirers of the hall will familiarise themselves with the use of the fire appliances and fire exits. Regular hirers must hold a documented fire drill on a quarterly basis.

17. All decorations, curtaining, scenery etc to be fireproof in order to comply with Surrey County Council regulations.

18. The use of a film projector with non-flammable films may be permitted subject to the approval of the type of projector and to any conditions prescribed by the Surrey County Council and other appropriate Authorities as precautions against fire and panic. Copyright Law must be also observed.

19. Access to all doors and fire exits to be kept clear at all times. Main foyer exit doors to the car park to be unlocked at all times during public performances.

20. The piano must not be moved.

21. Any Trustee or member of the Parochial Church Council and Hall Committee may at any time enter the premises for the purpose of ascertaining whether the above conditions are being duly observed or for any other proper-business.

Keys of the halls are obtainable on the day of hire from:
